Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Manage audio devices not working in Win7 RC1 x64 Ultimate
I have been using the Windows 7 64 bit release candidate since it came out and have not had really any big problems until today. It seems as though I can't open the window that lets me set the default playback device. When I go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Manage audio devices, nothing happens. Nothing also happens when I right click on my speaker icon in the system tray and select "Playback devices" I tried uninstalling my sound drivers and then restarting but that didn't seem to help. Any thoughts?

I found that if you manually run: devmgmt.msc first and then try to launch the audio device manager it comes up just fine. Hopefully this helps someone
